The Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department is going to be offering a Wilderness First Aid Training Course on Saturday, Oct 21st - Sunday Oct 22nd. If you run a licensed Summer Camp, Wilderness First Aid is now one of the certifications that the State of NH accepts to serve as your camp nurse/medical staff.
We have teamed up with SOLO, a nationally recognized leaders in the field of wilderness medicine and rescue to provide affordable wilderness medical training close to home.
Wilderness First Aid is the perfect course for the outdoor enthusiast or trip leader who wants more than a basic level of first aid training for short trips with family, friends, and outdoor groups.
Wilderness First Aid & CPR is a comprehensive 16 hour long training program which focuses on the skills of: Response and Assessment, Musculoskeletal Injuries, Environmental Emergencies, Survival Skills, Soft Tissue Injuries, and Medical Emergencies.
This two-day course will be held on Saturday, October 21st and Sunday, October 22nd from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm at Wasserman Park.
