This workshop will cover a variety of topics to help you prepare for the upcoming summer camp season. The day will kick off at 9:30 am with a presentation from Chip Mackey & Jackie Howarth of the NH Department of Environmental Services Youth Recreation Camp Program. They will discuss a wide ranging discussion of New Hampshire’s requirements for operating a youth camp and the law requiring criminal background checks for staff involved with youth skill camps.
Following the NHDES presentation Primex NH will host a round table discussion on the Do’s and Don’ts of Summer Camp.
Do you remember Kittery bus accident? What does your department do for driving training or checks? Does your department have a policy and procedure manual that needs to be dusted off or revisited to make sure you are still covered?
This round table conversation with Rick, Mary-Beth and Dave will talk about the hot topics such as driving safety and avoidable accidents, to making sure your department has properly written policies to cover yourself and your town.
This promises to be a great workshop that will help get you ready for a safe and successful summer camp program!
