NHRPA President Elect Matt Casparius sits on the NH Camp Directors Associatoin Board and learned of some very important information he wants to share with NHRPA regarding day camp guidance.

The NH Dept of Health & Human Services reached out to the NH Camp Directors Association to begin discussions about updating the COVID-19 Camp Regulations for Summer 2021 and wanted their feedback and recommendations for changes to the current guidelines.

DHHS’s plan was to work with the NH Camp Directors to develop recommendations to the guidelines and come to an agreement which would then be presented to Dr. Chan and the Governor’s Economic Re-Opening Taskforce some time in November. There would probably be a second round of updates in January/February time frame as new information becomes available. While there is several vaccine’s in development right now; the feeling is that there won’t be wide spread distrubution available to everyone by next summer.

We need to make sure that changes that are made don't make it tougher for Parks & Recreation Programs to operate next summer. Please review the day camp guidance and join the conversation so NHRPA can come up with a master list of recommendations to the day camp regulations.
