2022 SUMMER CAMP “22” GREAT IDEAS BRAG FEST!  

After two years of navigating through Summer Camp Covid Guidelines couldn’t we all use a little inspiration and reminder of what Summer Camp should be all about?  Wouldn’t it be awesome to hear from your fellow colleagues and what great ideas they have up their sleeves when it comes to Summer Camp programming? We think so too, which is why our April Coffee Zoom Talk is going to be a “Brag Fest” of great summer camp ideas!  

What kind of Great Summer Camp Ideas are we looking for?

It can be anything and everything as long as it relates to summer camp one one way or another. 

• Do you have any creative summer staff recruitment strategies?
• Do you have any personal “tried and true” summer camp tricks-of-the-trade?
• Did your department buy something last summer that has more than proved its worth?
• Have you discovered any new field trip location that some of us may not know of yet?
• Heard any great word-of-mouth ideas from other colleagues that you also plan to try?
• And of course, everyone wants to hear NEW wicked fun summer programming ideas!!
• Basically, if you think it’s a great summer camp idea… we all want to hear it!

We are seeking for at least 22 (in honor of 2022) submissions in total. If we get more than that, we will figure it out!  As truly we want to hear as many ideas and we can in the time allotted.

How to submit and brag about your Great Summer Camp Idea!

• Write several sentences summarizing your summer camp related idea.  Why not let your imagination loose and see if you can give that idea a catchy title as well.
• Email your brief write up to Aimee Gigandet, (our April’s NHRPA Zoom Co-host) @ agigandet@newmarketnh.gov. No later than Monday, April 4^th.  
• In the meantime, try to practice presenting your idea in less than 2 minutes… so that when you are called upon by our room host during the April Zoom meeting, you’ll be ready!  Should you prefer not to talk on Zoom, one of our room hosts will be happy to share your idea for you. (Please note that on your submission.)
• If possible, it would be great if you could submit a picture or two along with your write up to help the Zoom Rec audience visualize what you are your idea is all about.  If you don’t have one, no worries.

What do you get if you submit a Great Summer Camp Idea?

• For all those that submit a great summer camp idea, you will not only get a much coveted NHRPA Fish Point, that may win you $1000 towards your training & development budget at our next State Conference, but you may also win one of a few DD gift cards that will be drawn at the end of April’s Coffee Zoom Talk.
